How did I not know about this site before? The Teaching Channel has lots of great videos for improving teaching strategies. My favorite videos are from the "New Teacher Survival Guide." Perfect for new teachers like myself!

Barn Sale Inspiration
I went to a different barn sale for a change and saw these cute projects! I would love to try something like the pumpkin buckets before Halloween!

Candy Corn Candle Holder
I bought some little clay pots at...you guessed it...my favorite barn sale. I had candles sitting in them but wanted to do a little bit more with them. Then I saw a post shared at A Creative Princess:

I decided to paint my flower pots to make them festive for Halloween. Easy, simple, fast!

Finally, some fall decorations!
A couple of weeks ago I went again to my favorite barn sale and found some great things: fall flowers, leaves, wreath supplies and more! I created a centerpiece for my table:
I bought the leaves at the dollar store, the ribbon, bird and old window for three dollars at the barn sale and the fall flowers from Hobby Lobby. I created the flower vase myself from scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, a lighter and a beer bottle.
I put some sheet music on the bottle first with Mod Podge, then layered scrapbook paper on top and I scorched the edges with a lighter first.
The ceramic pumpkin came from a flower arrangement that my parents sent me last year after a car accident I was in. Having it on the table reminds me of my wonderful parents!
